Arrest Deepinder Singh Dhillon for patronizing illegal liquor sale and sand mafia in Dera Bassi area : NK Sharma

Zirakpur : The Shiromani Akali Dal Treasurer and MLA Mr. NK Sharma has demanded immediate arrest of Congress leader Deepinder Singh Dhillon for patronizing illegal liquor sale and sand mining mafia in Dera Bassi assembly segment.Addressing a press conference here today, Mr. NK Sharma disclosed he has submitted a representation and have informed him about large scale sale of illegal liquor is going on unabated in Dera Bassi area including Zirakpur and Lalru. He said that he had unearthed a major racket of illegal sale of liquor during the lockdown by the Congress leaders who used showrooms as stores for stocking illegal liquor.Mr. Sharma said that now again sale of this illegal liquor is going on unabated as Deepinder Singh Dhillon is Patronizing this illegal trade. He said that main kingpin of this racket Bittu Jalwera is right hand man of Dhillon. He was active for seeking votes for Dhillon during assembly elections in 2017 and now recently held Block Samiti elections. He has captured booth during block Samiti elections and had opened fire in village Lohgarh during Panchayat elections. He said that police is not taking action against Bittu Jalwera and others as they are being protected by Dhillon and the Congress government. He said that now it has emerged that Dhabas situated on Banur-Tepla road are being used as stores to stock illegal liquor. He said Deepinder Dhillon is using this Dhaba as his dumping ground and frequently changes its name. It was Jhill Mill Dhaba earlier which has now been named as Multani Dhaba. He said that it is also well known in the area that Congress leaders of Rajpura and Ghanaur are patronizing same illegal liquor sale in their area. He said that now all these leaders are working jointly to ensure supply of this illegal liquor.Mr. Sharma said that not only illegal liquor but sand mining mafia is also getting patronization from this Congress leader. He said that he had earlier exposed this mafia by going live on Facebook and even submitted proofs to the police but no action has been taken against this mafia due to political pressure of Deepinder Dhillon.He said that the Dhillon in destroying this area with illegal mining and destroying lives of youth of Dera Bassi area with illegal liquor and other drugs. Mr. Sharma urged the SSP to immediately register a case against Deepinder Singh Dhillon and arrest him immediately to save lives of people particularly youth of the his assembly constituency as well as other nearby areas.
