Chandigarh : A team of the Excise department on Tuesday arrested two persons along with 30 cases of illicit liquor during checking at a check post at Transport Nagar, Ludhiana.
Revealing this here, the official spokesperson of the Excise department said that accused Charanjit Singh and Manpreet Singh both residents of Manjit Nagar, Ludhiana intercepted the check post with Car no. PB 10 AZ 2372.
On checking, 30 cases of illicit Whiskey labelled as ‘for sale in Chandigarh only’ found from their possession.He said that FIR has been registered in this regard at the Police Station Moti Nagar, Ludhiana and further investigation is under process.
